MTS Technik Stance Coilovers Mazda MX-5 / Miata NB
Greater lowering, stiffer springs and a setup designed for a low MX-5.
The MTS Technik Stance series is a coilover suspension kit designed for Mazda MX-5 NB drivers looking for a wide lowering range and a more aggressive setup than a typical street suspension. Twin-tube damper construction, gas-pressure technology and Eibach springs create a setup focused on a low ride height and improved body control.
Construction and technology
- Twin-tube damper construction for stable and predictable damping characteristics
- Gas-pressure technology reducing oil foaming during intensive use
- Eibach springs designed for performance suspension applications
- Coilover bodies protected with a double layer of gold zinc coating
- Adjustment components made from anodised aluminium
- Increased corrosion resistance of suspension components
Stiffer main springs compared to the Street series provide improved body control when the car is heavily lowered. The Stance series is designed for drivers who prioritise a low setup and more direct suspension response when building their MX-5.
Ride height adjustment
- Front: 10–60 mm
- Rear: 45–85 mm
- Front and rear ride height adjustment via threaded damper bodies
Spring rates
- Front: 80 N/mm main spring + 20 N/mm helper spring
- Rear: 70 N/mm main spring + 20 N/mm helper spring
Why choose the Stance series?
The Stance series is designed for MX-5 NB drivers looking for:
- a wide vehicle lowering range
- a stiffer setup than the Street series
- improved body control at a low ride height
- Eibach springs and proven twin-tube construction
- durable construction with increased corrosion protection
Compatibility
The kit is designed for the Mazda MX-5 / Miata NB (1998–2005), including models equipped with 1.6 and 1.8 engines, including the 1.8 Turbo.
MTS Technik Stance is a suspension kit for drivers who want to build a low MX-5 NB and expect a stiffer setup than a typical street coilover. A wide ride height adjustment range, Eibach springs and corrosion-protected construction provide a solid base for a more aggressive setup.
During installation, a minimum clearance of 5 mm must be maintained between the wheel or tyre and the damper body. If the clearance is smaller, suitable wheel spacers must be used.
